Does my phone support eSIM?
Pick your brand and model to check in a second. Travel eSIMs only work on devices with eSIM hardware that are also carrier-unlocked.
eSIM compatibility FAQ
How do I check if my phone supports eSIM?
Dial *#06# on your phone. If an EID number appears alongside the IMEI, your device has eSIM hardware. On iPhone you can also open Settings → General → About and look for an EID entry.
My phone supports eSIM but the plan won't install. Why?
The most common reason is a carrier lock. A locked device supports eSIM but only accepts profiles from its own carrier. Ask your carrier to unlock it before buying a travel eSIM.
Why isn't eSIM available on my Chinese model?
Phones sold in mainland China generally ship without eSIM hardware because of local regulations. Check the model number on the box — global variants of the same phone usually do support eSIM.
Can I use eSIM and my physical SIM at the same time?
Yes. Almost every eSIM-capable phone supports dual SIM, so you can keep your home number active for calls and texts while the travel eSIM handles data.
